A warm welcome to your "Wonders of South America" tour.
Upon arrival at the Galeão International Airport in Rio de Janeiro, you will be met by an ATG Tours representative who will assist you with your transfer to the hotel.
After check-in at the hotel, the rest of the day is at leisure for your preferred activities and shopping.

Commence your tour with a visit the most famous landmarks of the city and see the natural beauty of Rio de Janeiro.
Embark on a comfortable train that ascends the mountain, where the statue of Christ the Redeemer is located 2,300 ft above sea level. The Christ statue, known as the “Wonder of Rio”, was recently elected one of the 7 "New Wonders of the World". Upon arrival at the top, guests can use the panoramic elevators or escalators to arrive at the foot of the statute. Enjoy a panoramic view of Rio de Janeiro and discover why it is called the "Marvelous City"Afterward proceed for local lunch
Later visit the world-famous ‘Pão de Açúcar’, (Sugar Loaf Mountain), which has become an iconic symbol of the city of Rio de Janeiro. Rising up from a small peninsula at the entrance of Guanabara Bay, its name is said to refer to its resemblance to the traditional shape of a concentrated, refined sugar loaf. The journey to the top is made in glass cable cars. The first cable car takes passengers to the top of Urca Hill, which rises 215 meters above sea level and offers spectacular views of the entire bay and its surrounding islands. From Urca Hill, passengers continue in a second cable car to the top of Sugar Loaf which rises 395 meters above sea level and offers a 360-degree view of the entire city including Botafogo and Copacabana Beaches, Corcovado Mountain and downtown Rio de Janeiro.

Rio De Janeiro - Lima (By Air)
Early this morning check out and you will be transferred to the Rio de Janeiro Airport for a flight to Lima (Flight cost not included)
On arrival in Lima, you will be met you will be met by an ATG Tours representative who will assist you with your transfer to the hotel.
Arrive and check in.
Depending on your arrival time you will either comence a city tour of Lima or check into your hotel and then proceed for the city tour.
Today enjoy a City tour of Lima. Lima is a modern city that has ten million inhabitants. It was built over the capital of the Spanish Viceroyalty and local pre-Inca vestiges.
The tour starts at Larcomar, the city's most exclusive shopping centre located in front of the Pacific Ocean, and will continue to the Pucllana Temple, a pre-Inca pyramid found in the Miraflores district, to mark a contrast. Visit the El Olivar Park, an ancient olive plantation, which is now part of the city, located in the San Isidro district, and from there proceed to Lima's historical downtown, a World Heritage listed by UNESCO. Stop at the Main Square, located in front of the Presidential Palace, the Lima Municipality and the Archbishop's Palace, beautiful colonial buildings that are an important part of its identity.
Lunch at Café del Museo Larco
A few blocks away, visit Santo Domingo Convent, one of the most impressive religious architectural complexes of the 17th century. It contains the relics of the three Peruvian saints, Santa Rosa de Lima, San Martin de Porres and San Juan Macías, and a library with a collection of 25 thousand old books.

Day 5
Lima - Cusco (By Air)
Today, after breakfast check out and transfer to Lima Airport for flight to Cusco (Flight cost not included)
(Note: The flight from Lima to Cusco should be taken early in the morning)On arrival you will be met by an ATG Tours representative who will assist you with your transfer forward as you proceed to the city of Cusco with a visit to Coricancha, the Cathedral, Sacsayhuaman, Quenqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay.
Enjoy a guided tour of this charming city, which was the capital of the Inca Empire. The tour begins with a visit to the Convent of Santo Domingo, which was built over the Inca temple of Coricancha, one of the most important precincts dedicated to the cult of the sun. Ancient chronicles say that its walls were covered with gold leaf and filled with golden representations of nature. Next, visit the Cathedral, the most imposing monument in the Plaza de Armas. Then head to the hills of Cusco where the fortress of Sacsayhuaman is located, whose imposing walls offer an impressive panoramic view of Cusco. Continue to Qenqo, an archaeological complex of religious use where it is believed that the Incas practiced rituals related to agriculture. Continue the tour to Puka Pukara, the "red fort" in Quechua; an architectural complex of supposed military use, with multiple environments, plazas, baths, aqueducts and towers. It is believed to have been used by the Inca entourage while the leader rested in Tambomachay, which is the last archaeological stop on the tour. It is believed that it was an enclosure of water worship, which had an extraordinary hydraulic system. At the end of the tour check into your hotel

Day 6
Cusco - Sacred Valley (By Road)
After breakfast check out and proceed to the Sacred Valley. Your day includes a visit to Chinchero, Ollantaytambo fortress and Living Museum of Yucay
Today visit the town of Chinchero, a traditional Cusco urban centre located at an elevated point with a beautiful view of the valley. The inhabitants of this area preserve the artisan traditions and the inherited knowledge of the Incas and display them in their clothes and customs. In Chinchero there are also archaeological remains and a beautiful seventeenth-century church, one of the first Catholic buildings in Peru. Then, you are transferred from Ollantaytambo to the Living Museum of Yucay, a centre Andean traditions interpretations, where demonstrations of the elaboration of textile work, adobe, pottery and silverware are carried out in the same way in which they used to in antiquity; an original recreation of Inca traditions. Also, residents of the museum include llamas, sheep and alpacas, and they can be fed! Then, enjoy a delicious lunch in the town of Ollantaytambo and, on the way to the fortress, witness the Andean essence that is breathed in the place, which still maintains Inca urban planning and is inhabited since then. Walk up the iconic steps of the enclosure, built next to the mountain. At the end of this activity, you are transferred to your hotel. *On Sundays, also visit the local market.

Sacred Valley - Machu Pichu - Cusco
A lot of excitment today as you have Breakfast at the hotel, check out and prepare to leave for Machu Picchu..
A guide for assistance will pick you up from your hotel in Urubamba to drive you to the Ollantaytambo train station.
On the outward journey, board PeruRail’s Vistadome service train that will take you from the Ollantaytambo station to Machu Picchu. (Aguas Calientes)
Your journey to Machu Picchu begins with a train ride to the town of Aguas Calientes, where you will find a handicraft market, restaurants and accommodation of different categories. After a short bus ride, arrive in Machu Picchu, a masterpiece of engineering and architecture that served as a sanctuary and resting residence for the Inca Pachacútec. According to UNESCO, Machu Picchu, which means 'Old Mountain', is considered a World Heritage Site and one of the New Seven Wonders of the modern world. At the end of the tour, return by bus to Aguas Calientes and then take PeruRail's Vistadome service train to Ollantaytambo station and onward by private transport to dinner and to your hotel in Cusco.

Puerto Iguazu

Be awed by your full day visit to the Iguaza Falls on the Argentine Side
Depart from the hotel to visit the Argentine side of the Iguazu Falls, located within the National Park Iguazu. With an extension of 67.000 hectares the park has been declared a Natural Patrimony of Humanity by the UNESCO. The Falls are integrated by 275 waterfalls that fall from an average altitude of seventy meters. The starting point is the “Central Station”, from which visitors can choose to take the train that goes to “Falls Station” or the one that goes to “Devil’s Throat Station”.

Puerto Iguazu - Buenos Aires (By Air)
Today after breakfast at the hotel you will check out and proceed for a half-day excursion to the Iguaza falls on the Brazilian Side
Depart from the hotel crossing the bridges Puente Tancredo Neves and Juan D. Perón that join the Argentinian city of Puerto Iguazu with the Brazilian city of Foz de Iguazu.
The trip continues towards the National Park do Iguaçu, one of the biggest vegetation reserves in Brazil, till you arrive at the visitors’ center.
Enjoy the panoramic view of the Isla San Martín and of the most majestic waterfalls: The Bossetti, The San Martín and the Three Musketeers. Towards the end of the walk is the viewpoint, from which you can appreciate a unique view of the Devil’s Throat.Later transfer to Iguazu International Airport for your flight to Buenos Aires (Flight cost not included)

Ride along Costanera Avenue, parallel to the Rio de la Plata, and head out of the city center to San Isidro the city's most affluent neighbourhood. Stop by the cathedral and pass the many mansions inhabited by old aristocratic families before continuing on to Tigre. Here, board a catamaran for a 40 minutes cruise through the delta. See how people live on the islands and interact with floating services.

Refund Policy
The Cancellation Policy is as follows:
- Once a partial or full payment has been made by the client, cancellations will only be agreed upon in writing.
- All cancellations must be received prior to the tour departure date and are subject to cancellation fees as noted above.
- For any self-purchased air tickets, you need to contact the airline directly to amend cancel your reservation. ATG Tours shall not be responsible for any self-purchased air tickets cancellation, though we can assist you throughout the process.
- For any air tickets purchased with ATG, it is mandatory to contact ATG Tours directly for all refund requests, as the airline will not be processing refunds of your tickets that were booked through us. Your tickets that need to be canceled must be intimated to ATG tours as soon as possible

- Payments for the trip are to be made in USD by credit card / Wire Transfer according to the following schedule:
- 50% of the program cost to be paid as a deposit will be required at time of booking.
- The remaining 50% of the program cost is due 90 days prior to departure.
- If booking is made less than 90 days before departure, full payment is due within 72 hours.
- Airfare is calculated at the time of proposal creation and is subject to change at the time of booking.
- ATG Tours reserves the right to cancel the booking in case of any unavoidable circumstances, natural calamities, acts of war and force majeure per the terms and conditions.

By joining our program, passengers certify that they are qualified to enter and exit countries visited within the confirmed travel program and cruise itinerary and/or have obtained necessary visas, if required, accordingly. All Passports, Visas, Public Health Documents, and other travel s required for embarking or disembarking must be obtained by, and are the sole responsibility of, the Passenger.
Travel insurance is recommended for this program.
Please keep in mind, the itinerary and outdoor activities during each trip are solely dependent on weather and operational conditions to ensure the safety and quality of experience of our guests. The route and shore landings (if applicable) will be determined by the captain and expedition leader and communicated to guests through regularly scheduled briefings. ATG Tours reserves the right to modify the landings and locations visited during a voyage based on weather and local conditions and climate to ensure a safe and delightful experience for all our guests and staff. Our trips are expeditionary in nature, and thus changes to timings are commonplace due to the environment we operate in as well as wildlife opportunities and locations.
All the passengers will be provided with the final itinerary and a recommended packing list before departure so they can plan and pack accordingly. Please be aware that opportunities to replace or purchase required items during the program will be limited.
